Copper Deoxidizing Catalyst for Glovebox DZC-PUR35
DZC-PUR35 is a copper-based deoxidizing catalyst developed for oxygen removal in glovebox inert-gas atmospheres. Its deoxidizing mechanism is based on the reduction of oxygen: when oxygen contacts the copper surface, the oxygen molecules are reduced to copper oxide, thereby removing residual oxygen from the circulating inert gas (e.g. nitrogen or argon). The catalyst is produced by a co-precipitation process with additives, which provides a large effective copper surface area, enhanced activity and stability, a large pore volume and a suitable pore-size distribution.
